The view from Mount of Palanzo
A magnificent scenic hike that starts in the village of Palanzo (Faggeto Lario) and leads to Mount Palanzone and Mount Preaola along easy trails.
Hiking Trail to Mount Bolettone
We begin our walk in the picturesque village of Molina, on Via Fontana Vecchia, passing by the old washhouse and continuing uphill toward the mountains.
Pognana Lario was once famous for its quarries of Moltrasina stone, a type of building stone characterized by gray-blue streaks, used by the Maestri Comacini. A visit to the church of San Miro is a must.
