A stunning loop hike starting from Molina (446 m / 1,463 ft) in Faggeto, reaching the summit of Mount Bolettone (1,318 m / 4,324 ft) along one of the most scenic sections of the Larian Triangle ridge (from Bocchetta di Lemna to Bocchetta di Molina). The trail presents no technical difficulties; however, we recommend downloading and following the GPX track, as trail signs are infrequent. Along the ridge, the path passes near two mountain huts: Baita Capanna Mara (+39 392 892 6865) and Rifugio Bolettone—it is best to contact them in advance to verify opening days and hours. The starting point is at the bus stop (Line C31 | Como - Torno - Palanzo) on Provincial Road No. 43, with car parking available nearby.
We begin our journey in the picturesque village of Molina. On Via Fontana Vecchia, pass by the ancient wash-house (lavatoio) and continue uphill toward the mountains. After passing a few houses, the paved road turns into a trail. Enter the woods following the signs for the "Strada Regia," cross the Brema plateau, and after skirting the Valle dei Mulini (Mill Valley), you will reach the hamlet of Lemna. At the small fountain square, begin the steep ascent toward Bicogno; at the next junction, turn left and follow the road to Bocchetta di Lemna. After a long hike through a forest of beech and chestnut trees, you will finally reach Bocchetta di Lemna (1,115 m / 3,658 ft). Here, you are on the Larian Triangle Ridge, where a signpost (totem) points in all possible directions.
Turn right onto the "Sentiero delle Colme," where the views are incredible: to the south, you can admire Lakes Pusiano and Alserio, the Brianza plains, and the Milan skyline; to the northwest, Lake Como and the snow-capped Alpine peaks. Climb to Doss da la Mùla, pass by the mountain hut, and with a final easy stretch, reach the cross at the summit of Mount Bolettone (1,318 m / 4,324 ft). After a well-deserved break, continue along the ridge of Mount Dosmat (1,282 m / 4,206 ft). Upon reaching Bocchetta di Molina (1,116 m / 3,661 ft), turn right and head toward Piano Dürac. Hidden within a fern forest, you will find Path No. 2 descending toward Pian delle Perle. Before reaching the flat, turn right and return to Molina along a magnificent hillside trail.

The Sentiero del Viandante travels halfway up the eastern part of Lake Como, beginning in Abbadia and ending in Morbegno. To allow you to enjoy this these beautiful sites in total tranquility, the route is divided into six stages.
