Perched on the scenic western ridge of the Grignetta overlooking Mandello, this refuge offers one of the most stunning panoramic views in the region. Owned by CAI Milan, it features 46 beds and provides small-hotel services. It is a popular destination in its own right, as well as a strategic base for technical climbs on the nearby Cecilia, Costanza, and Cinquantenario spires. Piani Resinelli – 1,278 m (4,193 ft)

This expansive plateau at the foot of the Grignetta is the premier mountaineering hub of the Lecco area. Located just 16 km (10 miles) from Lecco and accessible by public bus, it serves as the primary gateway for all southern Grigna ascents. The plateau features a full range of services, including hotels, restaurants, Alpine Guides, and a Mountain Rescue Station. Families and leisure travelers can also enjoy the Valentino Natural Park and the historic Mineral Park mines.

Bivacco Bruno Ferrario – 2,184 m (7,165 ft)
This iconic metal bivouac stands directly on the summit of the Grignetta. Managed by the Ragni di Lecco climbing group, it is always open to provide critical shelter during emergencies or severe weather. Access: Via the various climbing and trekking routes leading to the Grigna Meridionale summit.

Rifugio S.E.L. Rocca Locatelli – 1,278 m (4,193 ft)
Originally an old iron mine purchased in 1908, this historic post at the base of the Grignetta has long served the Società Escursionisti Lecchesi (SEL). Rifugio Carlo Porta – 1,426 m (4,678 ft)
Nestled in the woods just above Piani Resinelli, this CAI Milan refuge is accessible by car to within a few minutes' walk.
